Tight gas and oil factsheet series (including Taroom Trough)
Tight gas and oil is a type of resource that exists in several parts of Queensland, including in the Taroom Trough.
With the Taroom Trough Development Plan currently being developed by the Queensland Government’s Office of the Coordinator-General, Coexistence Queensland has produced a six-part tight gas and oil factsheet series in partnership with The University of Queensland Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre.
These factsheets explain how tight gas and oil is found and produced, the activities landholders may see on or near their property, and key considerations throughout the development process.
