Shared Landscapes captures the key trends and footprint of two industries sharing the regional Queensland landscape – agriculture and gas. Queensland’s onshore gas industry has evolved significantly since the first natural gas field was discovered in 1900, with the introduction of commercial petroleum and gas operations, as well as the process of converting CSG to LNG. The industry has developed within areas of Queensland largely used for agricultural purposes.
