Meet us in Miles at the Community Renewables Forum

In partnership with the Queensland Government and Coexistence Queensland, the Queensland Renewable Energy Council (QREC) is launching the Queensland Community Renewables Forums (QCRF).

The Forums provide a coordinated industry engagement platform with regional communities on the why, what and how of renewable energy development. The Forums have broad support from both State of Local Governments, agriculture, resources and conservation sectors, all working together for a shared vision:

  • Increasing support and coordination for the renewable energy industry through the delivery of balanced information
  • Ensuring a common understanding and collaborative resolution of issues across all stakeholders involved in the energy transition
  • Building long-lasting relationships between the industry and communities built on trust.

The first of three forums will take place in Miles on Wednesday 10 July 2024 with more planned across Queensland by the end of the year.

Forum: 10am-2pm (10 July 2024)
Exhibition: 8.30am-5pm (10 July 2024)
Community Wind Farm site visit:  8am-12 noon (11 July 2024)
