Let’s talk about Central Queensland’s REZ readiness

Join us in Central Queensland over July and August, as we take part in workshops hosted by the Department of Energy and Climate (DEC) on renewable energy zone (REZ) readiness assessment with local communities.

We’re looking forward to meeting and working with landholders, local governments and industry to learn about the coexistence challenges and opportunities faced as part of the energy transition.

The workshops will be an opportunity to discuss local issues and priorities as part of REZ development in your region and will be hosted in:

• Biloela
• Gladstone
• Moranbah
• Rockhampton

You’ll need to register to attend a community workshop.

Along with the workshops, community pop-up and drop-in sessions will help DEC:

• understand your community’s views
• plan the rollout of REZs
• minimise any impacts from developing a REZ
• identify opportunities for your community to benefit from a REZ.
